Mona Poulev, women’s health expert

About Mona

I’m Mona. And I know this feeling.

MSc in Nutritional Science, women’s health expert. I know Hashimoto’s and perimenopause from my own life. I have supported women for more than 15 years and coached more than 1,000 of them. And I have written a book about the decade almost nobody talks about.

My story

“I don’t know this from books. I have lived it.”

Before I became a nutritional scientist, I was above all one thing: a woman who no longer felt at home in her own body.

I know what it is like to wake up exhausted after a long night’s sleep. I know lab reports that say everything is “unremarkable”, and the quiet sense that something is still wrong. Constant tiredness, weight I couldn’t explain, a cycle that had lost its rhythm. Often I felt like a spectator in my own life.

I found my way back to my energy through food, targeted micronutrients and many small changes in everyday life. Not through more restriction, more rules or more guilt.

Then perimenopause arrived. On top of that, the double load of being a mother and running my own business. Poor sleep, thinning hair, inner restlessness, and an irritability that mostly the people around me had to bear. I was at my limit again.

That is why I know how it feels when you have tried everything and nothing fits together. And I know that your body has been on your side all along. It just needs the right language.

How I work

When you come to me, I don’t look at whatever is bothering you most today. I look at what has thrown your whole system off balance: thyroid, hormones, gut, nervous system and your everyday life.

Many women come to me after trying everything. Supplements, diets, books, courses. And they are still stuck. It is not a lack of discipline. It is that nobody has looked at the whole system.

No optimising. No new rules. Order. We look for the one place that moves everything else, and start there.

I am not a doctor and I don’t make diagnoses. I put your results and symptoms into context and give you reasons you can show your doctor. Decisions about medication always rest with your doctor.

The book

I wrote a whole book about this.

“The Invisible Decade” explains what really happens in perimenopause. It helps you, and it helps you in conversations with your doctor.

You don’t have to work through this on your own.

In the free clarity call, we look together at where your system is stuck right now. I tell you honestly what I see and whether we should work together.
